How to Communicate Better with Superior Listening Skills.

From early on in school we have been taught that listening skills are an important part of how to communicate. It is natural for humans to use listening skills to build communication skills.

Babies learn to speak through listening. We learn about things we do not know about through listening. So having effective listening skills can make you able to communicate better. You can learn how to communicate better through listening skills if you know the basics about listening.

The following four sections explain the key points to being a good listener and why they are important to communication.

1. Use body language to show you are listening.

Not only will body language show you are listening, but it will also help you to listen better. If you move closer you can hear better and not be distracted as easily. If you maintain eye contact you will be less likely to be distracted by something you see around you.

Also avoid fidgeting as this can show your lack of interest or that you are getting bored.

2. Repeating back parts of what someone has said to you shows them you listened.

It also helps you to comprehend what was said better. If you misunderstood this will let the speaker know and then it can be clarified. You also show you are interested by taking their words and repeating them back. It shows you were really focused on what they said.

3. Focus on the person speaking.

You should be giving you undivided attention to the person speaking. This means you are not looking for something in your purse, glancing around the room or doing some other task during a conversation.

If you are even slightly distracted you may miss something the person says or be at risk of misunderstanding them.

4. Do not interrupt the person speaking.

You should hear the other person out and wait for a break in the conversation to ask questions or express your point of view. Interrupting only shows you are more interested in your own thoughts than theirs.

These tips basically cover the ways to be a good listener. There are various takes on what is required to be a good listener. Some qualities vary depending on the situation you are in. These tips are based for those in a casual situation, such as at a party.

You should always do your best to be a good listener. If someone knows you never really listen then they will be less likely to want to talk to you again.

Try not to ignore what is said and show your interest and your listening skills will come across. Knowing how to communicate better through listening skills will make you an overall better comunicator and someone people want to talk to.

How to Overcome Shyness in 5 Simple Steps

Being shy is really just having a feeling that you lack something. Some people are shy because they feel they are not good enough for others or that they are not as smart as others.

Shyness can also just be something that carries over from childhood when you were worried about being accepted so you hung out in the background. Now that you are an adult you can see that shyness holds you back and can really effect many aspects of your life.

The following list teaches five easy ways on how to overcome shyness. You can try all of them or only one or two. Do what it takes to help you step out of your shell.

1. Know how to carry on a good conversation.

You should learn good conversation starters. Try making a list and memorizing it or keeping it as a cheat sheet on your PDA. You need to also know how to handle awkward pauses in conversation to really learn how to overcome shyness.

Always have something to share to keep the conversation going. You need to learn how to handle rude or annoying people that may become a part of your conversation.

Learn all you can about how to carry on a good conversation. This will boost your confidence which goes a long way in overcoming shyness.

2. Tell people you are shy.

This may be the best way to learn how to overcome shyness. With many addictions the first step to stopping them is to admit you have a problem. Well, shyness is almost the same thing.

Once you tell people you are shy they will try to help you feel comfortable and overcome your shy tendencies. It also breaks the ice as others may be feeling shy as well or they may have been shy at some point in their life and can share some tips with you on how they overcame it.

Just do not hide the fact you are shy. Once it is out in the open you will feel much more at ease.

3. Be happy when you try.

Overcoming shyness is not simple. You have a very deep rooted habit here and you will not cure yourself in one attempt. Be happy when you try to fight your shy tendencies.

Look at every try as positive. Once you start associating a good feeling with not being shy it will become easier top stop the shyness all together.

4. Practice one social skill at a time.

You should start out slowly by trying to do one thing at a time. This way you can master that skill before moving on.

Once you start mastering aspects of communication and social interaction that is something that can help you to not feel shy. You will gain confidence and be one step closer to mastering how to overcome shyness.

5. Take some classes.

You can find classes on all aspects of communication. Maybe you do not where to start – a class can help get your thoughts in order and give you a feeling of knowing what you are doing. Taking classes is good for someone who likes to have a good plan to make them feel confident.

Shyness can be almost like a crippling disease. You can fail to make friends, lose business or even start to effect your own children so they end up growing up shy as well.

Deciding you want to know how to overcome shyness is an important step and one that should be taken by anyone who is suffering due to being shy.

Difficult Conversations and How to Turn Them Around

Many of us have run into a difficult conversation. Some people even like difficult conversations. Arguments are necessary and are going to happen, but this difficulty shouldn’t stop you from communicating.

Nobody agrees 100% of the time, so arguing is a natural part of the conversation. However, some arguments are unproductive and lead to hard feelings and can even ruin relationships. Knowing how to deal with difficult conversations can ensure that your argument will not turn out too bad.

The following tips will help you to argue more effectively. You will see how you can learn from an argument and what is necessary to make sure an argument ends on the right foot.

Tip#1 Communicate effectively.

You should not use yelling and harsh words to get your point across. Instead speak calmly and be cautious of words you use. Use sentences that say “I” instead of blaming sentences that use “You”. You should always be aware that you have a point and try to explain it while also taking in the other persons point.

Tip#2 Remember the other person.

There are two sides to any argument. You should give the other person respect and listen to their side. Do not shut them out.

Do not stray from the topic at hand. Most often people start bringing up past fights or other things that are completely unrelated to the current argument. Doing his can cause the other person to shut down and not even want to speak to you.

Tip#3 Focus.

You should be really trying to work out the problem. Keep feelings out of the mix. Do not try to make the other person feel bad because they disagree with you. Watch their body language to see if they are tense or starting to feel relaxed.

Arguments go better when people can relax a little. This helps them to listen better. Be specific with what you think and what you want the outcome to be. Avoid using the phrase ‘I don’t know’.

Tip#4 Resolution.

The ultimate goal with difficult conversations is to resolve the issue. Try to work out a compromise. Perhaps someone will have changed their mind by the end. You need to resolve any negative feelings that may have cropped up as a result of the argument.

You want everything to return to as it was before the argument. Nobody should hold any resentment or the argument was never really resolved.

These four tips offer some great insight into how to argue effectively. You do not have to fight to get things done. You can use these tips in almost any atmosphere where difficult conversations may crop up.

It doesn’t even matter if the other person is not reacting this way, as long as you use the tips the other person should calm down as well. You are not only arguing effectively, but teaching others by example how to argue better.

How Is The Mirror Of Life Treating You?

What you see in the world and much of how others interact with you is a based on what is within you. The world you live in is a mirror, reflecting to you what you feel and project.

This can be hard to face, as we don’t want to think that we are anything like all that we see in the world. This is not to say that you are alone responsible for everything going on in the world.
However, you bring into your personal world most of what you see and experience by what you perceive and believe.

If you are annoyed and frustrated with drivers on the road, you will find many feel the same about you.
Someone who feels irritated with a crowd of people will not see many friendly faces looking back.
While, also, if you are considerate and polite, you will experience much of the same.

Your attitude governs how you see the world and how you interact with it.

Sure, There are many things going on in the world that are unpleasant, but if you bring the thinking into your thoughts, you are bringing it closer to your life.

Haven’t you noticed that the people that appear happy are the easiest to approach and talk with than those that seem grumpy? Are you the happy one or the grump?

We tend to think that it is up to the world to provide us with what we want, where the opposite is actually true. It is our responsibility how we feel, think and act, which can effect how others interact with us.

If your thoughts throughout the day are mostly on anger, anxiety, distrust, fear, aggression, superiority, and you are looking to one-up everyone, when can you fit in the happiness you want?

Two things are going on:
1) Your mind is listening to what you feel and say all day and responds to them as a command for more. If your mind is engrossed in some form of negative thought all day, when exactly where any happy thoughts going to fit in.

2) The people you interact with are reading you, your body language, your vocal intonations, your behavior. You exude how you feel and the attitude you hold. People will then react, usually in kind. You will get back from them what you project. We all know that we are ‘reading’ other people all the time. What we feel they are exuding, effects how we behave around them. How do you want people to behave you around you? How do you want people to treat you?

You are trapping yourself with your own thoughts and behavior.
In order to have a different life experience you need to choose to project to yourself and the world more of what you do want. Your thought space is fully consumed with whatever thoughts you are involved with all day. You need to make room for better thoughts if you are going to have them. Thoughts of joy don’t happen along with thoughts of anxiety, it must be either or.

Now you might be saying to yourself about now, “what about everybody else?” They should treat me better, and then I will be nicer to them. Well, most people feel the same way, all waiting for someone else to start it, to be nice first. Guess what, this method is not working and if you continue to wait for it to, better not hold your breath.

The only way for you to experience a more positive, happy, joyous, loving life is to start with yourself. You be the one to instigate better attitude for others to respond to. Guess who responds to it first, yea, you do. Your own mind will act in kind with whatever attitude you project, why not make it what you want?

Make an effort to seize command of your perceptions, your attitude, your thinking and your actions so that you can project to the world what you want back from it.
Only you can choose what object to place in front of the ever-present world mirror in order to get the reflections you desire. The mirror doesn’t lie; it reflects what it sees.

Choose to become more of what you want. If you are hoping for a happy experience in life, be happy and seek happiness. Express happiness in all that you do and in all personal interactions. Choose to look for it everywhere. Grow out of your old thought habits when you notice they no longer support what you want for your life.
Personal development and growth may not be the easy way out but you will like, appreciate and admire yourself more for working at it.

Stand in front of the mirror, be the image you want reflected back.
Others will follow, somebody has to start, will it be you?

“… at any moment in time what we see outside of us reflects our
internal field of consciousness. As such it is a mirror for us.
Looking in this mirror can be painful, but it is not nearly so
painful as pretending that the mirror is not there.”

Who Is Deciding How You React To Your Feelings?

Are your emotional reactions automatic or on purpose?

Are you frustrated with how you continue to react the same way every time a specific situation or feeling comes up?

Have you desired less stress and anxiety in your life, and more pleasure and happiness?

If you had a choice, would you choose anger, resentment, fear, worry, and jealousy to be a consistent part of your life?
More likely, I think you want more happiness, joy, fulfillment, understanding, and love to be present.

Well, you can choose, you can change yourself one small step at a time in all areas of your life if you choose to.
Your personal growth is up to you; you can cease allowing your automatic reactions to guide your life.

You can react to your feelings any way that you want?

CHANGING HOW YOU REACT TO A FEELING
Just because you have reacted in a certain way does not mean you must continue to do so.
You can actually change your reaction any time you choose.

We all react to the specific feelings that come up when something occurs. And how we react is based on how we perceive the occurrence.

If you can change the way you perceive something, you change your reaction to it. And changing your reaction will alter the outcome of your feelings and actions.

NOTICE, ASSESS AND CHANGE
The first thing is to just notice how you are reacting to a given feeling.
This may seem difficult at first, as most likely you are accustomed to living on auto-pilot, allowing whatever thoughts come up, to rule the moment.

You can start by thinking about your reaction after the fact, then gradually as you become more aware of this, you will notice while you are reacting.
After awhile, as you become more aware, you will find that you can easily notice your reactions right as they are coming up.

Then you will be able to quickly analyze how you would prefer to react and do so.
This can take time, as your habitual reactions will want to slip in as they always have.
With persistence and determination you can take command of your reactions.

VALUES AND DESIRED LIFE
Look at your personal values when deciding how you would rather react.
What reaction would better serve the values you want to live by?
How would you rather behave in certain situations?
Could you reduce negative effects and increase the more desirable?

If your present reaction is one of anger, is anger what you want in your life, or would there be another reaction more in line with how you want to live your life?
You can change much of what your experience in life by changing your perceptions

THIS IS CHANGE
You can eliminate the experience and results of your anger if you choose not to allow anger to be a part of your reaction in a given situation.
Getting command of your thinking and choosing to direct it how you want, will gradually bring more of what you want into your life.

You will open yourself to a new life with every reaction you alter to more align with how you desire to be.
You don’t need to continuously be subject to undesirable automatic reactions that are not beneficial to you.

Start noticing your reactions, and see them as something that can be changed.
Determine what you DO want in your life.
Search within yourself for what you DO want your life to include.
What are your values, your purpose, and your mission?

“Our reactions to our feelings are our passport to rebirth.”

How Anyone Can Manifest Anything!

My mother taught me how to teach others about the power of the mind. By learning how to teach her, I learned how to communicate essential wealth-building ideas to others.

Many years ago, she worked as an employee in an insurance company. Her low salary pinned her to a fixed income. Trapped in her cubicle, she held little hope for change.

With Christmas only a month away, she was upset. Normally, a generous soul, she did not know how to face the season of giving. She could barely pay her many bills, let alone buy everyone in our family presents.

I asked her what she would do if she could attract $25,000 for Christmas. I told her that it is possible to create anything with the mind. I told her that she could create wealth. I told her that she had the power to create miracles if her faith was strong enough.

After much skepticism, she humored me by telling me all the things she would buy.

I then talked to her about how the great religious teachers of the past taught the principles of manifestation.

Jesus Christ spoke about it in the Sermon on the Mount.

The Buddha spoke about it in the Dhammapada.

Krishna spoke about it in the Bhagavad-Gita.

I pointed out how many of the esoteric traditions also mentioned it. In the
Kabbalah teachings, in Sufism, and in Shamanism many rich illustrations hinted at the power of mind over matter.

Today, the science of quantum mechanics mathematically and experimentally demonstrates how thoughts influence matter.

During my enthusiastic exposition, her eyes glazed over as I spoke.

Finally, out of desperation, I focused on keeping things very simple, and very practical.

Since she is a great cook, I gave her specific, doable instructions in a recipe book format.

At Christmas time, when I showed up at the house, everything looked different. Signs of affluence colored the room like a rainbow. I saw a brand new Persian carpet, a big fish tank, and a whole assortment of kitchen gadgets. Everything on her list was now in the house! And, yes, she had plenty of presents for everyone.

This was her remarkable story:

She practiced the ideas I taught her. After a time, they made her feel better. She did them because it gave her hope. As she did them, she noticed no change in her mind or her life. Still, she persisted (if only to prove her pedantic son wrong!)

One day, she felt an urge to invest in her company’s stock options. Suddenly, the market went bearish for a few weeks and she made a modest fortune.

She sold her stocks for exactly $25,000!

This weird story changed both our lives. She practiced the principles of manifestation from then on, and I worked on refining them and teaching them. To this day, I still don’t understand the stock market. My mother didn’t fully understand it, either. She was just happy to follow her intuition.

Incidentally, today, my mother runs her own insurance company. (And, yes, she is an even better cook now that she has an army of culinary robots working for her.)

This was the beginning of my teaching others to make money simply by thinking about wealth in a specific way. Through this incident, I accidentally stumbled upon a method to teach anyone how to manifest what they needed.

Later on, I manifested a scholarship that enabled me to follow my dream of going to graduate school for psychology.

And today I have enjoyed the materialization of this website to share my knowledge with others; although when I first started I didn’t have a clue about web design or marketing. I just manifested the right people and technical education and software tools to make it happen.

How to Make a Conversation Flow

We all seem to know someone with the gift of gab. The just seem to naturally know how to make a conversation flow; even if it’s with someone they are just meeting for the first time.

Here are some tips on how to make conversation flow by concentrating on why we talk to each other in the first place.

1. The golden rule.

The reason we talk to other people is to connect, on a heart-to-heart level. If a conversation is steered only by your head, there is probably not going to be a flow to it.

Use the golden rule when you enter that room full of strangers. You want to feel noticed and understood. Start by noticing and understanding others!

2. Smile!

Have you noticed that person who walks into a room ’smiling at the world?’ When they do talk to someone their voices are warm and friendly. Smiling will make you look confident and relaxed, which makes people want to approach you.

Don’t be surprised if someone comes up to you and says: “Wow, you seem like a happy person! Can I sit with you, today?”

3. Are you listening?

By far, people who know how to make conversation flow know when to be the one who isn’t talking! How many times have you been on the phone and can tell that the person you are talking to is distracted with something else. For whatever reason – they are not really listening to you.

People who do a lot of networking have an underlying belief that everyone they meet is the most incredibly interesting person in the world. You can never find that out, unless you listen to what someone has to say.

Furthermore, if you are worried about what to talk about with someone, listening with your heart and not reacting with your head will never leave you without something to add to the conversation.

4. Remember past conversations.

Start up a conversation by remembering tidbits of any past talks you may have had. You remember this was the person that was trying to train their new pet dog.

You can start up a friendly conversation with: “So how’s Sam doing? Did you ever get him to rollover and play dead?” This demonstrates your interest in the other person and it is always appreciated.

5. Eye Contact.

Another key in learning how to make conversation flow is to remember to maintain eye contact with whomever you are talking to. You only have had to be on one bad date with someone who keeps looking around at all the other potential ‘dates’ in the room, while you are talking to them, to know that the person is just not that interested!

Learning how to make conversation flow sometimes takes practice, but it can lead to quality, heart-to-heart connections.

How to Choose an eBook Reader: 9 Important Factors

It seems as if everyone these days is trying to simplify their lives and even Oprah is no exception. With our busy lifestyles that include traveling from here to there, the eBook Reader is something that any one with a busy lifestyle might want to consider. Even Oprah raves about her Kindle and claims that it has saved her the agony of traveling with those heavy books.

If you have been considering the purchase of an e-Reader then there are a few things you absolutely need to consider before making your final decision. An eBook, of course, is nothing more than a digital file which is the same as the normal printed book except it’s just electronic. Until the roll-out of this technology, eBooks were read through your PC or laptop.

So how does an eBook Reader differ from a PC or a Laptop? With a specialized technology called e-Ink or e-Paper, the e-Reader is will display text and images that feels almost like it’s on real paper. This helps you prevent eye strain like you usually will experience when reading from a computer screen for extended periods of time.

Also, it’s energy efficient and requires very little charging. The only time you are truly straining your battery at any level is when you actually turn a page. And the best part of all, you can read in bright sunlight without any problems. According to Digital Book Readers, E Ink’s electronic ink uses a type of clear liquid plastic with millions of microcapsules, which are tiny (at almost the diameter of one of our hairs) spherical objects.

So let’s look at 9 important factors to take into account when making your purchase:

1. What books are available?

You want to make certain that you have access to all the books that you might want to access through your reader. Consequently, keep in mind, that the Sony store has somewhere around 100,000 books, whereas the Amazon Kindle store has over 280,000 books. Oprah endorsed the Kindle and the choice of books seemed to be one of her most talked about features. It doesn’t do you much good to find a really great eBook reader if there are no books to read!

2. Pay Close Attention to the Display.

Since you are going to be spending a lot of hours reading books it is important that the display is comfortable to the eyes. So what do we need to consider. First of all take a look at the size of the screen. Standard size is 6” but most people prefer a little larger than this and the Fujitsu Flepia offers 8” and the new Kindle DX a whopping 9.7”.

Also keep in mind if you are going to view a lot of graphics you might want to also consider the gray scale. The standard is about 8 gray scales. The Flepia, however, offers a touch screen with the capability for 260,000 colors. At $1000 you pay for it! The BeBook by Dutch company Endless Ideas offer multiple fonts that can be changed as you read (except in PDF format), and three levels of zoom.

3. Long Battery Life is a Big Deal.

It’s not much fun to have to recharge your device every couple of house. You should be able to experience around 7000 page turns before recharging. The Flepia by Fujitsu offer 40 hours of continuous use on one charge and Sony’s PRS-505 gives you an average 6,800 page turns, and the Kindle DX four days on wireless.

4. Size Matters.

Size is extremely important if you travel a lot. It’s imperative that the Ebook Reader be portable. You have to find a happy medium between the reader taking up too much room and it being large enough to read easily. The average weight is about 10 ounces, but the BeBook weighs in at only 7.8 ounces (220 grams).

5. Make Sure the Reader Supports Various Types of File Formats.

Some only support very specific file formats. Case in point is the Amazon Kindle 2 which doesn’t support PDF Files. It does however offer an option that lets you convert PDF files into a Kindle format. The Sony PRS-700 does support PDF files, Doc files and others. The iRex iLiad supports PDF, XHTML, Mobipocket and plain text, and can also display BMP, PNG and JPEG images, though not in color. It also has stereo speakers giving it audio book capability. The Kindle 2 also offers text to speech capability. The Kindle 2 does not support PDF, but the Kindle DX can read native PDF files.

6. Can You Go Wireless?

Again, this is strictly a personal choice but one that more and more consumers are demanding. It’s definitely worth considering, and the iLiad and Kindle 2 have wireless connectivity, as does the Flepia with wireless Bluetooth and wifi.

7. What Type of Warranty Is Offered?

As with any new technology introduced into the marketplace, bugs and glitches are often prevalent at first. Therefore, it would be worthwhile to have at least a one year warranty just in case. You can, of course, also always purchase the extended warranty where offered.

8. Have You Reviewed the Testimonials?

It’s always important to see what other users think about a piece of equipment. Since many of these eBook Readers are bought online it is relatively simple to find testimonials regarding the various types.

9. How Often Do You Want To Use Your Reader?

Do you want this to replace actual books or do you just want to use the Reader when traveling? This is definitely a consideration and might affect many of the buying decisions discussed above.

In short, the eBook Reader can offer you many options that regular books do not. And although you might want to consider an endorsement from Oprah, she might not always know the best choice for your individual circumstances. So shop around, do your homework and choose the right reader for your specific needs.

How I Lost My WoW Account

In just a few moments, I had lost everything I had worked so hard for in-game. . It didn’t matter that I was a top

ranked player, a fully-geared level 70 warrior with a flying mount, my guild’s main tank, or a guild officer.

Blizzard had wiped out my account as if it had never existed. The whole idea made me sick to my stomach and I

immediately regretted taking the easy way out by buying wow gold.

Still worse, though, was the news that my account closure destroyed the guild I had worked so hard to help build.

My account closure left an opening for the position of main tank, causing a major battle to erupt amongst the

remaining end-game warriors over who was the most qualified to take my place. This fierce infighting caused the

guild to fracture and, as a result, many long-standing guild members left to join other groups. Just five days

after my account was terminated, the guild officially disbanded.

As a leading and reliable
wow gold fast delivery store, we are devoted ourself to wow

account trade for the passed years, and we have gained a good reputition from the customers all over the worldWeeks

after my gold purchase, though, I received an email was from Blizzard, the creators of World of Warcraft. The email

informed that my World of Warcraft account had been under investigation for fraud and that it was being permanently

closed due to “exploitation of the WoW economy.” I was stunned! Just a single purchase of wow gold had flagged my

account and resulted in its complete termination. I tired contacting Blizzard to get my wow account reopened, but

the Blizzard rep stood firm on their stance that buying wow gold is a violation of the game’s Terms of Use.

I was frequently in need of gold to repair my broken weapons and armor as I was the guild’s off- tank, my gear took

a bit a hammering and I was exhausted of farming for hours each day, just to make enough gold to barely cover my

dear repair costs. The advertisement for “Cheap WoW Gold” got my attention, I reckoned it couldn’t hurt to check it

out. The website guaranteed to deliver World of Warcraft gold straight to my character’s in-game mailbox for an

acceptable price, in real American dollars, of course. Taking into consideration how much I loved the game and all

the time I used raiding, I thought that buying cheap World of Warcraft gold was a good investment for my Warrior.

Purchasing WoW gold meant that I wouldn’t have to grind for repair cost anymore. I could spend more time assisting

my fellow guild-mates powerlevel their alts and raiding. It looked like an excellent idea at the time. We have a

amount of wow account at all levels from which you can choose your and buy the one you like
